Happy New Year!

Been busy keeping a hacker at bay on my message board. I am going to try and send one to jail, he ripped off some of my members of a few grand, and has been stealing identities. Now he is spamming me with not so nice stuff. Don't you just love the internet. You try and do cool stuff, and supply a home for people to talk about the things you have in common and like, and there is always at least one person who wants to mess up the fun.

So Sunday I was able to get out to the shop. I actually got a lot done. I forgot the camera again, but the wife came to the rescue with my mother in-laws digital camera. Unfortunately I was not allowed to touch it with my "greasy hands". So she took pictures, for about 5 minutes. She said it was too loud in the shop. She is such a sissy.

I was also able to complete the rear swaybar install. I made a mount that is welded to the rear bar that supports the engine cradle. The High & Tight / TwosRus swaybar tucks right into the cradle, with plenty of room for the exhaust downpipe.

I started work on the new rear Cadillac hubs. Installed the rotors and the new lug nuts.

The toe control rod will be relocated to the proper position. The line will be in the same plane as the old cadillac steering rack. This will keep bump steer to a minimum. I don't know why I did not do this the first time. I think it is wise to just stand back and review stuff that you have done. That is what I did. I just sat and looked at stuff. That is how I discovered I did this wrong the first time.

Here I am grinding the hubs strut mount down to fit the AW11 Koni strut. I had to remove about 3/8" of metal. I used my new 9" grinder. Damn that thing eats metal fast.

And here it is.

This is why I don't like her taking pictures. She thought she was funny.

Those big cadillac brakes look huge on this bad boy.

Grinding away.

Still grinding.
