The Big Move to new digs

Well is has begun. The family and I will be building a new home in the spring. So today Wonderboy and I loaded up the Toystar and moved it to Nelson County Virginia. Into the new shop she goes. In the spring we will also be building a new 2500 sq. ft. shop with an office and walls that we can hang girlie pictures on, and a sign on the door reading - No Girls Allowed. But for now the Toystar work will continue in the smaller garage.

The Boywonder steered the car while I pulled the car up with a come along. Took anout 2 hours to get it all on the trailer.

2

2

Here he is yelling at me to hurry up. Pretty cocky for being almost 4 years old.

3

The combo come-along tie down strap pully the car on the trailer system. We could not drive it on the trailer since the intake is off getting ready to be sent off to California for upgrades to the fuel system.

2

4

He did a great job. Too bad I had to do all of the hard work.

1

5

All on. I love the camber on the front. Please remember that I have done no alignment on the wheels.

The Boywonder next to the new decals on the Dakota.

7

We made it out to the new shop an hour later.

2

8

Great license plate eh?

1

9

The new house will be going here. Great view of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

2

10

The new shop will be going to the right of the old shop.

1

11

Only had one problem. The passenger side roll bar came lose. But then I did not even have it bolted in. Gotta do that on a level floor.

2

12

I should have weighed the car. But there are no weigh stations around me.

1

13

The car is going in here. So we needed to clean it up. That is a 1953 Suberban, our other hotrod project.

2

14

Lots of room now.

1

15

Air. I have air now. Hell yes, I have air.

2

16

Unloading the car. We found a 110v electric hoist that we used to lower the car. It worked great. It also shocked the crap out of me when my wrist found a bare spot in the power feed.

1

17

Plenty of room to drop the engine, rebuild it, and redo the cooling system pipes.

2

18

Oh so nice to have the car under a normal cover and a flat, dry floor

The Boywonder Mechanics. Ian and Jack.

20

My wifes Uncle showed up with a new Dodge Dakota Quad Cab 4x4. It has a 318 v8. I don't like it. Looks wise it too angular. Interior wise it has more back seat leg room... but seems like it has less width. Still has the mini bed. Hate it. Next truck will be a full size F250 or the full size Dodge quad cab. Though the Titan is looking good.

21

The only thing I like about the new '05 Dakota is the V8 Magnum logo. Grind off the magnum part and this will look good on the fender of the Toystar.

2

22

We had lots of fun with all the brats. My brother in-law Will giving my daughter a ride on the 4-wheeler.
