Day 6 - 12/11/2003

Home

Bill is low on cash. I need shocks and coil-overs for the car. But can't afford them right now. I was driving to work this morning and had a thought. How did people work with shocks in the old days? Well they rebuilt them that is how!.
Shocks are simple mechanical parts. All they are is a tube, with a plunger, oil and some small holes and seals. After doing some internet research I found out that most struts go bad due to the seals going bad. Rebuilding the stock struts, which I have a ton of, is as simple as replacing the seals with new ones and refilling with high quality Red Line Shock Oil. I posted on the message board about this and Jody at KBox posted that he can get the seals.
