Day 46 - 4/12/2004

Home

Rain, rain and more rain. It rained all day Sunday, and it has rained all day today. It is supposed to rain all the way into the middle of the week. Rain is cool, but not when you live in a mud pit. We had a drought at the beginning of 2003, my yard has not recovered from it, then we got walloped by Hurricane Isabel, not good for trying to get thye lush green grass I once had. Maybe one day I can get it back and maybe one day I can build a 5 car garage.

So with the rain I am just going to sort out some stuff around the house that needs done. Prep some other projects that I have, like my 500hp 3SGTE turbo engine for the MK1.5 MR2. This car is called the RS-GTR. It has a T04 turbo, a custom TED Components head and Kamakazi 264 cams, ultra light-weight valve train, ported and polished and 1mm larger valves. All mounted in a ultra-lite 1985 MR2 hardtop. Should be pretty quick.

A bit off-topic here on the V8 page... but I got my new fuel rail and 550cc injectors for the 3SGTE powered 1985 MR2. That car is gonna rock when completed!

Here is the new 100amp 1-wire Jegs alternator. Powdercoated black with the proper pulley attached.

3

The 999mph Cyberdyne speedometer and the box used to adjust the speedo. Of course this is the gauge that the websites do not tell you that you need the extra $50+ part to make work. It seems like such a great deal until you find out that you need more parts and it does not do what the advert states.

4

The Porterfield RX7 brake pads. The are the RS4s street pads

5

5 Point GForce harness. I need one more and I will also need some seats.

Here is the rest of the 2.50" exhaust.

Rain. The yard is a mud field

9

Of course I did not help things when I got the purple car stuch swapping out transaxles a few months ago.

10

Remember when the wife made me sign a contract so that I could use a small percentage of our tax refund on new wheels and tires? Well Saturday I had to break out the lawn mower, change the oil and spark plug, pour in some 110 octane fuel, jump start it with the Dodge and then mow the grass. I hate mowing. But I have to fulfil my contract of mowing once a week, if it needs it or not.

I also cleaned up the mess from the bathroom refurb last spring. Once year later. Need to take this to the dump, maybe next sping.

2

12

I also need to get this pile of car parts on the trailer anjd down to the scrap yard.
