Noon time on Sunday finds me breaking into a locked trunk of the Caddy. Quite easy actually. Just pry up on the trunk by the rear window, put a piece of wood to hold it up, and remove the two 15mm bolts. This releases one side. Then reach in with some plyers and pull the latch release cable. So easy. So here is the back of the trunk. Lots of things I have no clue what they are. But they have lots of wires going to them.

Another fuse box in the trunk.

3

Nice power antenna.

4

4

Stuff. I'll figure out what this stuff is later.

5

5

More stuff.

6

6

Cool amplifier.

7

7

Here is the rear harness removed.

8

Cool stuff found in the trunk. Some sort of amplifier for the antenna. A good Fram oil filter, tire iron and two reinforcement bars that I'll use somewhere.

9

Can't have a pimped out V8 MR2 without a cool plate frame. Needs cleaned up, but with look spiffy on the rear of the two!

10

I was going to remove the fuel tank today to get the fuel pump. But damn! The thing is friggen huge! I would say it holds 300 gallons! Too large. So I skipped this. I am just going to use a 16 gallon foam filled fuel cell in the front trunk, so this will require an external FI pump.

11

Some info that looked important.

12

Too damn cool. That sticker is at least worth 300hp.

13

Rear sub-frame mounted under the RS-GTR MK1.5 MR2 to see how it will fit. It will fit, but will require some modifications, like cutting out lots of steel and fitting tabs to bolt the frame to the AW11 chassis.

14

Side view. It actually is the same size as the lower opening. The AW11 engine bay narrows at the top. This is where I have to cut to fit the engine.

15

Another reference image.

16

I took lots of images of the frame. It is supposed to rain tomorrow to I will be working on the frame design.

Chassis mount. This will probably be cut off.

AW11 frame. This will have to be chopped and rewelded so the exhaust system will fit.

5

32

More AW11 images for reference

6

33

The AW11 is dwarfed by the Northstar V8. But I swear it will fit!

7

34

This mess with be really awesome in the 87 MR2

35

Suspension components.Oh my goodness. How did this get here?

36

Club MR2. The Krylon Special Lite. Yes it works fine. One project done.

37

Done. Everything that I need is out of the Caddy. All the crap is packed up and waiting for the return trip to the junk yard.

38

I moved the extra hoist down to the lower rear yard. I'll move the red 1987 MR2 down here this week.
